Supported Devices

Orbers need a wired or wireless (WiFi 802.11) Internet broadband connection, or cellular connectivity.

Computers (Laptops & Desktops)

You can Orb on any Windows, Linux or MacOS-X laptop or desktop computer that has a broadband connection and a media player that can stream Windows, Real or 3GP media, such as Windows Media Player (v.9 or above), WinAmp, RealPlayer (v.9 or above) or Quicktime Player.

PDAs

You can Orb on any Pocket PC that has Windows-Mobile or Windows-CE Operating System:

  • Any Microsoft Windows 2002, 2003 or Mobile 5 Pocket PC
  • Most HP iPaq devices, Dell Axim PDAs, etc.

Palm OS Devices

Any Palm OS device with the Kinoma Player 4 EX is compatible with Orb. Such devices include (but are not limited to) the Treo 650, 680, 700p, 750 and the Tungsten C.

Mobile Phones

You can Orb on any cell phone with a Web browser and either Windows Media Player, TCPMP, RealPlayer, or 3GP Player. We recommend that you check with your wireless carrier for a data package with unlimited use.

  • All Microsoft Smartphones, such as: the Samsung SCH-i600 and Blackjack, Audiovox PPC6700, Treo 700w, QTEK 9100/I-mate K-JAM, Sony-Ericsson K600i, Motorola MPx200 and Q, T-Mobile Dash, etc.
  • Most phones with a 3GP media player, such as: the Samsung A900/A920/A940, SPH-A800, and Z107; the Sanyo MM-5600/7400/8300/9000; Sony-Ericsson P900, w800/900i, etc.
  • Nokia 6620 and 6680 (with RealPlayer)
  • Nokia Series 60 (3230, 3600, 3650, 3660, 6260, 6600, 6620, 6630, 6670, 7610, 7650, N-Gage QD, N80, 93, 95,800, etc.), Series 80 (Communicator 9300, 9500), Series 90 (7700, etc.)

Gaming Consoles

Orb also works with all of the major gaming consoles so that you can stream all the digital content from your home PC and from the Web onto your TV screen in the living room!
